Theresa is a fine and decorative artist, sometimes designer, all time foodie. Being a foodie Theresa is always excited when she gets to create a dream kitchen. This kitchen was designed for a true foodie couple. She had the entire room gutted, moved a stairway, enlarged the kitchen floor plan and designed the entire layout to create the perfect cooking experience. Then she fauxed the cabinets, plastered the walls and painted the artwork. Her clients claim that not a day goes by without looking forward to time spent in the kitchen.

My sister Joanne helps manage Bishop's Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland CA. The reason I'm writing about it now is that she gave me a basket of food and condiments from the farm. Normally I'd be less then thrilled with this type of gift but I am now kicking myself in the butt for never making it to the Farm in all the years Joanne worked there. Oh, I had my excuses and I'm sure they were good ones, but not good enough for missing out on SWEET FIRE PICKLES for all these years. Since Christmas I have had them on turkey, hamburgers (twice), cheese and crackers, and in tuna salad. My jar is near empty and I'm so sad because I have to wait until the Farm opens next spring before I can get more. Here's the link http://BishopsPumpkinFarm.com I hope you check it out and then meet me there opening day next year I'll be the lady drooling over the pickle barrels.

Growing up in a family restaurant with 8 siblings - all of us working in the restaurant doing everything from waiting tables to creating new culinary masterpieces and washing dishes taught us what is important in life. Time spent with loved ones over the simple things, like birthday parties and shared stories are more important then all the riches in the world.
